Elpido is a technology-enabled household services platform that connects verified service professionals with urban households across India. We are committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of all individuals who register and use the Elpido Partner App.

2. Who This Policy Applies To

This Privacy Policy applies to:

• Service Partners — Professionals who register on the Elpido Partner App to offer household services including home cleaning, dishwashing, laundry assistance, babysitting, and other household support services.

• Profile photograph
• Home address and location
• State of residence
• Services offered
• Aadhaar card (front and back images) for KYC verification
• Partner ID assigned by the platform

• Device identifiers (used for push notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging)
• App usage and interaction data (via Firebase Analytics)
• Crash reports and diagnostic data (via Firebase Crashlytics)
• Precise location (when you grant permission)

3.3 Information from Third-Party Services

We use Firebase (provided by Google LLC) as our backend infrastructure. Firebase may collect certain technical data in accordance with Google's own Privacy Policy. This includes authentication data, device tokens, and usage analytics.

5. Government-Issued Identity Documents (Aadhaar)

We collect Aadhaar card images solely for the purpose of KYC (Know Your Customer) verification of service partners before they are approved to operate on the platform.

Important safeguards:

• Aadhaar images are stored securely in Firebase Storage with restricted access rules
• Access to Aadhaar documents is limited exclusively to authorised Elpido administrators
• Aadhaar data is never shared with customers, third parties, or advertisers
• We do not store the Aadhaar number itself — only the card images for visual verification
• We comply with applicable provisions of the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016 and the Information Technology Act, 2000

6. Location Data

We collect your precise location during the partner registration process to record your service area.

Location data is collected only when you have granted permission through your device settings. You may withdraw location permission at any time through your device settings, though this may affect your ability to complete registration.

We do not collect background location data in the current version of the app.

7. How We Share Your Information

We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

Within the Platform:

• Partner data is accessible only to authorised Elpido administrators for the purpose of profile review and verification

With Service Providers:

• Google Firebase — backend infrastructure, authentication, storage, analytics, and crash reporting

For Legal Compliance:

• When required by applicable Indian law, court order, or government authority
• To protect the rights, safety, or property of Elpido, our users, or the public

8. Data Retention

After the applicable retention period, data is permanently deleted from our systems.

• Aadhaar documents are stored in a restricted-access Firebase Storage bucket accessible only to admin roles
• Access to admin systems is protected by authentication and role-based permissions

While we implement industry-standard security measures, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage all users to keep their login credentials confidential.

10. Your Rights

As a user of the Elpido Partner App, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Correction — Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Deletion — Request deletion of your account and associated personal data

11. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your Elpido Partner account and associated personal data at any time.

To request account deletion:

1. Email us at support@elpido.in with the subject line "Account Deletion Request"
2. Include your registered phone number in the request

What gets deleted:

• Your profile information (name, photo, contact details)
• Address and location data
• KYC documents (subject to mandatory legal retention period)
• Device tokens and notification preferences

What is retained:

• Transaction and booking records are retained for 7 years for legal and accounting compliance under applicable Indian law

Account deletion requests will be processed within 7 working days.

12. Children's Privacy

The Elpido Partner App is intended for users aged 18 years and above only.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 18. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with personal information, we will take immediate steps to delete such information from our records.

Our App uses the following third-party service:
